Your Utilities Department is responsible for the following, among many other things:
The production and treatment of your drinking water
Treating wastewater to produce reclaimed water for irrigation
Repairing and maintaining water lines, and sewer force and gravity mains
Repairing and maintaining electrical lift stations which convey wastewater from the force and gravity mains to the Wastewater Treatment Facility
Completing reports and studies on the city's infrastructure to prepare for future utility needs in conjunction with growth in the city
Developing projects to improve services provided to Ocoee customers
Promoting water conservation through educating students, residents, and the development community about the use of well-planned irrigation, Florida friendly landscaping, and the installation of Energy Star(R) appliances and WaterSense™ plumbing fixtures
